Over the last year, our usual Molicel battery recommendation has become more difficult to source. Many other protected 18650 batteries are a few millimeters shorter. While the difference is small, these shorter batteries may not make ideal contact with the battery clips and, in rare cases, can cause intermittent power issues.
To improve compatibility with a wider range of protected 18650 batteries, we have released an updated circuit board with the battery clips positioned closer together. This ensures reliable contact with both our original and newer battery recommendations.

What hardware revision do I have?
Newer hardware (rev:d):
- The board has a Setup button and/or is marked rev: d underneath the right battery clip.
Original hardware:
- The board has a Wireless button.
- Original boards do not have a "Rev X" marking.
